UVFC Presents the William C. Belt Memorial Scholarship

A life member of Boring Vol. Fire Co. Mr. William C. Belt, bequeathed upon his passing, a large sum of money to the Boring Fire Company. At that time, The Boring Board of Directors, decided that the money would be marked and designated to be used for a scholarship. The funds designated for the William C. Members attend life saving grain bin rescue training at Station 85

Last night, 10/29/24, members from Upperco, Glyndon, Reisterstown, Hampstead, and BCoFD Career Station 56 participated in a grain bin (silo) rescue training drill at the Upperco Station. Upperco Volunteer was selected by Nationwide Insurance to receive this life saving grain bin rescue equipment along with 6 other departments state wide. UVFC Hops into Spring!

On Saturday March 16, 2024, the Upperco Volunteer Fire Company happily welcomed our community back for our first Easter Bunny Breakfast since the start of the COVID pandemic!
We were very “hoppy” to get to see our neighbors and friends as they joined us for a delicious breakfast, visits with the floppy-eared man of the hour, fun activities, and even fire engine rides!

Duty crew night training

Upperco volunteers gathered tonight for a duty crew evening consisting of a great dinner followed by an evening of training! Upperco personnel participated in rural water training, while our neighbors from the north at the Hampstead VFC came by to practice their forcible entry skills using the training prop.

Box 85-20 Wildland Fire

On Monday, February 12, 2024 at approximately 5:30pm, units were alerted for a reported large wildland fire in the area of Gunpowder Rd and Pleasant Meadow Rd in Upperco.
