On Monday February 13th the Arcadia VFC held its annual installation of officers and awards ceremony. Several members were recognized for their achievements in 2016. Our top responders as well as our top duty hour members were given awards. Our oldest living Life Member John Rill received a citation from Chief Hohman recognizing him for his 69 years of service and his 100th birthday. Also Chief Hohman gave certificates to Linda Hale for top duty hours, Scott Boose for top fire calls, and Brendan Boose for top Junior hours. The Ems provider award was given to Jay Prise and the Fire Officer award went to Scott Boose. Our citizen of the year award sponsored by Farmers and Merchants Bank was given to Mr. Ray Sheely for donating funds to the Fire Company from several dances that he has sponsored himself. We had 2 new life members, Tammy Boose & Jay Miller that were recognized for their 25 years of service to Arcadia. We would like to thank all of our members and the community for all of your support in 2016, it takes everyone to make our service to the community possible.
