Station 85 Responds to a Brush Fire at a farm on Grave Run Road

At approximately 3:20PM this afternoon, UVFC received a fire call for a wildland/Brush/Grass fire at a farm on the 19700 block of Grave Run Road. Engines 851 & 852, Brush 858, Utility 857, ATV 85 and our reserve medic responded to the call.

Members of Upperco VFC Respond to a House Fire

In the evening hours of September 23rd, members of the Upperco Volunteer Fire Company responded to a call for a residential fire in Hampstead area. A full contingent of equipment and personnel from UVFC(E851 & E852) responded to the call.

Fortunately, the fire was contained in an upstairs bedroom and did not spread any further and no citizens or Firefighters were injured. ... (Full Story & Photos)

Sunday, August 25, 2019 Members of the Upperco Volunteer Fire Company attended a session for RIT (Rapid Intervention Training) a refresher class taught By Doug Brinkley, Division Cheif BWI Airport.

The training covered all aspects of Rapid Intervention including calling a MAYDAY, Radio Discipline, Focusing on Your Assignment, Personnel Rescue Demonstrations, via video and RIT Team assignments. Also ... (Full Story & Photos)

UVFC holds Rural Water Resource refresher Training

On Monday evening, August 19th, Members of the Upperco Volunteer Fire Company held a Rural Water Resource training at Outside Unlimited Landscaping in a large pond on their property in Upperco. The training was led by Training officer, LT Scott Boose
