| Firefighter Tommy Clavell, a member of the Arcadia Volunteer Fire Company, was awarded the 2013 Community Quarterback Award by the Baltimore Ravens. This award recognizes individuals who exemplify dedication, leadership, and commitment to improving the communities in which they live through volunteerism, according to the Baltimore Ravens. Volunteers who are 13 years of age or older, and who provided exceptional services for nonprofit organizations were eligible for the 2013 program. Various charitable organizations, as well as the individuals themselves, may provide the nominations for this award. Tommy, nominated by MaryAnn Schestag, is being recognized for his active participation, dedication, and service to the Sons of the American Legion Post #200. For all of his hard work, Tommy has been invited to attend the Ravens vs. Vikings game on December 8th, where he will be honored with his reward on the field, prior to the game. The Officers and Members of the Arcadia Volunteer Fire Company are proud to be able to claim Tommy as one of their own, and extend a generous congratulations to Tommy, as well as his wife Loraine, and daughter Candace, who are also members of the Department. |
