On Saturday, Arcadia Volunteers lent a hand to the members of the Chestnut Ridge Volunteer Fire Company. The members of the CRVFC hosted their annual open house, and had requested assistance from Arcadia in the form of their Utility 439, a full-sized school bus. For several hours on Saturday afternoon, Utility 439 ("The Bus") assisted in shuttling people attending the open house at the Chestnut Ridge station, to and from the parking lot. This exemplifies how neighboring companies work together to accomplish great things. In August, the members of Chestnut Ridge assisted and participated in a large scale mass casualty drill held at the Arcadia Volunteer Fire Company.
