The Officers and members of the Arcadia Vol. Fire Co. would like to express our sincere sympathy and condolences to the Loganville Fire Company of York County, Pa. Chief Rodney Miller was tragically killed while directing traffic on Interstate 83 due to a helicopter landing zone being set up at a previous accident on the highway. The roadway had been shut down and Chief Miller had his Chief's Vehicle parked with his Emergency Lights on in the Southbound Lane directing traffic off of Interstate 83 when a DUI driver went around his vehicle, striking and killing Chief Miller. The DUI driver then continued on without stopping until he was forced to stop due to traffic backup from the previous accident. Please keep Chief Rodney Miller's family in your thoughts and prayers as well as the Brothers and Sisters from the Loganville Fire Company and surrounding departments that were impacted by Chief Miller. Its tough to loose a Brother Firefighter and please remember, we are all family in the Fire Service. Take care, be safe, and RIP Chief Rodney Miller.
