The Arcadia Volunteer Fire Co. took the first step in upgrading our fleet on the morning of July 27th. We are in the process of purchasing a new Engine Tanker with 1500 gallons of water. We sold our 1994 International and 1982 Mack to a dealer in Virginia. Although our new engine will not be ready for several months we received an offer on both units that we had to take. This is all part of consolidating down to 2 engines instead of the 3 we have had in the past. We plan on using a reserve engine for the next several months until our new engine arrives.
