May 19, 2016

Arcadia engine 432, Medic 435, Utility 437, along with engine 424, and Carroll County Truck 2 responded to the scene of a downed aircraft Thursday evening. At 7:55 pm units were dispatched to Trenton Mill Rd. For a call of a small aircraft in distress and preparing for an emergency landing. Engine 432 was the first to arrive to find a single engine airplane had safely landed in an open field after having engine failure. The plane was guided in for a safe landing by a Baltimore County Police helicopter that was in the area. A scene size up revealed that both occupants of the plane were safe and unharmed.
