It was a perfect, snowy, 18 degree day for an Ice Rescue Training with Carroll County Dive Unit 13. We didn't have to go far from home as Outside Unlimited was gracious enough to allow us to use their pond. Land based rescues were the focus of this training. Using ladders, hoses filled with air and rope throw bags we were instructed how to safely but swiftly perform a rescue involving a subject on or thru the ice. We were also joined by some of our Junior members making this an all around successful morning in the frigid north.
