Shortly after 9:00 PM on Friday night, the Arcadia Volunteer Fire Company was alerted to assist units with a fire at The Butler Store. Initially arriving units reported heavy smoke and fire showing. This prompted the request of a Tanker Strike Team. When requested, this adds extra tanker and engine apparatus to an incident that is designed to carry large volumes of water, sometimes in excess of 2,500 gallons, as well as special units designed to draft water from ponds, lakes, and other water holding devices. Engine-Tanker 431 assisted on the scene for several hours while the fire was brought under control by 2-alarms worth of fire companies and firefighters.
