Shortly before 2 PM on Saturday, units from Arcadia were alerted, along with several other units from Baltimore County, to assist on a large brush fire involving a structure in the 1200 block of Boerner Road in the Hampstead Area. The fire, which originally started around 12:30, quickly escalated past a single alarm, and required the assistance of units from numerous surrounding companies, as well as several brush fire attack vehicles. The fire involved a large area of brush, as well as a structure on the property. Arcadia was alerted to respond with Engine Tanker 431 and Brush 436. Crews operated on the scene for several hours to bring the fire under control. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but the high winds and severely dry conditions played a significant factor in the fire.
