| On Friday, just before 5:00 PM, units from Arcadia were alerted, along with units from Boring, Reisterstown, and Glyndon, to respond as mutual aid into Finksburg for a working dwelling fire. Engine-Tanker 431 was alerted to respond for it's tanker capabilities, but arrived first on the scene. The crew of four from Arcadia were faced with heavy smoke conditions and fire inside the house. Arcadia's crews, along with the assistance of others as they arrived, made an aggressive interior attack, resulting in a quick knock on the flames. A hole was cut in the roof to vent the smoke and hot gasses from the structure. Luckily, there were no injuries reported from this blaze. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. |
