Upon dispatch, our members quickly recognized the address as belonging to one of our own members, and the UVFC quickly mobilized and responded with E851, E852, U857, and B858. E851 arrived first, finding fire showing from the rear of the house, and a working kitchen fire. The firefighter from E851 stretched a hoseline and quickly started knocking down the firefighter, assisted by multiple additional units from Carroll and Baltimore Counties. The fire was extinguished fairly quickly, with no injuries reported at the scene. This incident hits very close to home for our company, and we are rallying around and mobilizing support for her and her girls. We are working with family and friends and will be sharing a link to a Gofundme to help raise funds for immediate needs support as soon as it is set up. Please consider donating to help out one of our family in their time of need. As always we greatly appreciate our community’s support! #neighborshelpingneighbors #community - UVFC PIO M. Runyon |
