first arriving units reported smoke from the roof of a mixed occupancy building with multiple residential units, and observed an individual on the roof, as well as multiple people on all floors of the building.

Seeing this, the box was upgraded to a rescue assignment, followed shortly by the Rapid Intervention Dispatch (RID) and Fire Task Force (FTF), bring multiple additional units from surrounding companies and jurisdictions, including E852 from Upperco.

Upon arrival, E852 took a position to the rear of the involved building, and was eventually put to work assisting first in crews with opening up and other tasks.

Luckily, thanks to the actions of the responders, the fire was mostly contained to the roof area and no injuries were reported. E852 returned to service after about an hour.
