Just prior to 4pm on Saturday March 18th, UVFC and surrounding companies were dispatched for the report of an outside fire in the 4000 block of Compass Run Lane in Upperco. While responding, units noted a large column of smoke in the area and requested a full first alarm assignment and a brush fire task force.

Units arrived to find a large fire in a heavily wooded area, spreading rapidly uphill in the windy conditions.

With the help of multiple partners from Baltimore and Carroll Counties, units were able to bring the fire under control in about an hour.
