Upperco Volunteer Fire Company will break ground at 15701 Fringer Road Upperco, MD 21155 on July 21, 2021. This will be the new location of Station 85. This new station will continue to serve the Upperco community and surrounding areas, replacing their current station on Arcadia Avenue.

The 20,000 square foot Fire Station will be equipped with a large apparatus bay including 3 pull through bays and 2 half bays, Training room, Conference room, 5 individual live-in quarters, Administrative and Fireline Offices, and many other features moving the company into the future. U.V.F.C. will still hold fundraising events and community gatherings at the Arcadia Carnival Grounds.

“ On September 1, 2017, the Upperco VFC was officially started. This groundbreaking is
the next step to completing the merger of Boring & Arcadia to give Upperco VFC their new home for years to come“ said Scott Warner, Chairman of the New Station Committee.

The Upperco Volunteer Fire Company was consolidated from the Boring Volunteer Fire Company and Arcadia Volunteer Fire Company in September 2017. A new property committee and new station committee were formed immediately following the consolidation. The new property on Fringer Road was purchased in 2018. The new station committee began working with Manns Woodward Studios of White Marsh, MD in 2017 to design a building that meets the needs of the volunteer members and the community. In Spring of 2021 Lewis Contractors was selected as the General Contractor.

U.V.F.C. is excited for the project to begin and we look forward to completion in the Fall of 2022!
