On Wednesday, Arcadia appeared in a joint recruiting effort being held at the Hereford High School. The campaign, established by Scott Bachman of the Hereford Volunteer Fire Company, targeted the students at the High School, and explained briefly about the benefits of volunteering, as well as what the service requires. Students watched a brief video in the beginning, composed by members of the Hereford Fire Company, which was followed by a short talk about the fire service, with time for a question-and-answer session at the end. Several companies were represented at the program, including both Hereford Fire and Hereford EMS, as well as Maryland Line, Jacksonville, Butler, and Arcadia. Arcadia is always looking for volunteers. For more information on volunteering, please visit our recruitment page.
