On Saturday 1-27-18 the Upperco VFC was invited by Parkton "Station 60-A shift" to attend the Flashover simulator. In the fire service, a flashover is an instance of fire spreading very rapidly across a gap because of intense heat. This can be a very dangerous situation for fire fighters so time is spent training to be able to determine the signs of an on coming flashover. The Baltimore County Volunteer Fire Service which includes Upperco and the career departments have a long running history of working together and this training was no different. It is our training that keeps us on top of the game.
