On Friday 4-7-17 at 9:56 pm. units were alerted for a 43-6 building fire at Mt. Zion church on Black Rock Rd @ Mt. Zion Rd. While enroute E-432 was advised that a caller stated that heavy fire and smoke was come from the building. At that time a Tanker Strike Team was requested to start additional resources that would provide large capacity tankers as well as tanker support units to draft water from local water sites. First arriving units reported heavy fire showing from 2 windows. Thanks to the efforts of all first arriving units, the fire was quickly knocked and the church was saved with relatively minimal fire damage. After an extensive salvage and overhaul operation all units and personnel were cleared. I am extremely happy to state that no injuries were reported from the scene.

The Arcadia Vol. Fire Co. would like to thank the following companies for their efforts in making a quick extinguishment: Butler, Boring, Hampstead, Hereford, Parkton, Glyndon, Reisterstown, Texas, Garrison, Owings Mills, Maryland Line, Chestnut Ridge, Cockeysville, Rehab 156.
